The Continuing & Professional Studies at Towson University delivers professional certification courses that address critical skills gaps in high growth industries. As the new associate director of continuing education, I would like to invite you to an information session on Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 AM. My team and I will be on hand to talk about our programs and how they can help jump-start your career.
So the free coffee and doughnuts aren’t enough to convince you? Well, off the top of my head, I can think of six really good reasons why you would want to take time from your busy schedule and attend our information session. Are you ready? Here goes….
#6. Learn about in demand occupations, industries and skills. If you are thinking about a career change, make sure you understand where the high demand jobs are now and where they will be in the next five years. We are going to talk about all of those things at this session.
#5. Network and meet professionals with similar interests Networking always matters. You will have the opportunity to meet professionals with similar goals and interests and find out more about the companies where they presently work. Get to know what kinds of jobs are out there and what kinds of things may interest you that you haven’t really thought about.
#4. Find out what Towson University can do for your career. Of course, that is why we want you to attend, but we think you’ll be impressed with the number of options that we can offer to busy adults like you who are trying to get ahead.
#3. Hear about new programs for late spring and fall. We’ve got some new tricks up our sleeve and are ready to pull those rabbits out the hat on Saturday. You will learn about new course offerings in healthcare, marketing, process improvement—all built around high demand jobs that are looking for you! (You didn’t think I was going to name names, did you?)
#2. Is this a good fit for my life? That’s really the $64,000,000 question, isn’t it? At CPS, we cater to adults and non-traditional students. We know that making time for education can be really challenging. But we’ve got you covered. Many of our courses can be taken either in the classroom or online. We also take travel and traffic into consideration when setting up classes knowing that the needs of adult learners are different.
#1. A professional certification can catapult your career. I’m not going to hold back. This can be a game changer – the game changer for your career whether you are looking to make a change or to get ahead. Professional certifications are focused, quick, and demonstrate to employers that you have the knowledge, skills, and experience they are looking for. All our professional programs lead to credentials that are recognized by the specific industry.
Well there you have it. The top six reasons why you should attend the Continuing & Professional Studies’ information session on April 9.
