Last May, TU Student Launch Pad wrapped up its second academic year of operation. As we enter a new academic year, TU Student Launch Pad has partnered with the College of Business and Economics (CBE) to expand our entrepreneurship programming.
This partnership has been founded with the goal of providing better services for student entrepreneurs as well as expanding the community of entrepreneurship in Towson. With this partnership, comes a lot of exciting programming. Fireside Chats and Innovation Calisthenics were piloted by CBE last spring, and this fall, the Student Launch Pad will be helping to run these new and exciting (and free!) programs throughout the fall semester.
Fireside Chats bring successful entrepreneurs to campus to have open discussions with students about their experience. Students are able to learn first-hand how to successfully launch a business. The sessions take place Fridays, noon–1:30 p.m. in Stephens Hall 211.
Innovation Calisthenics will stretch and strengthen your innovation skills. Activities and challenges—Creativity Obstacle Course, Design Thinking Crash Course, BuildIt, Sound Board—are designed to get your entrepreneurial blood pumping. These 1½ hour sessions are open to the community as well as students. Innovation Calisthenics take place Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 p.m. at various locations on campus.
Learn more about Student Launch Pad, the basics of entrepreneurship, and the lean startup method. Attend two, two-hour sessions to get your ideas ready for launch. The sessions take place 4:00–6:00 p.m. in Cook Library 507.
It’s going to be an exciting semester to get involved. As always, TUlaunchpad.com for the most up-to-date event details.
