Towson University presents the ATHENAPowerlink® Baltimore Women in Business Speaker Series, hosted by the StarTUp at the Armory. This series features trailblazers from across Maryland discussing accomplishments, challenges, and insights as women business leaders. This is a great opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community members from Greater Baltimore.
On October 3, ATHENAPowerlink® Baltimore held its inaugural Women in Business event featuring Comptroller of Maryland Brooke Lierman. Brooke Lierman spoke about the importance of supporting women entrepreneurs, the inequities they face, and the impact women owned businesses have on the Maryland economy. Comptroller Lierman shared stories about her own relationship to entrepreneurship, and answered questions from local women entrepreneurs. This was a great way to kick off the ATHENAPowerlink® Baltimore Women in Business Speaker Series.
